Truly spectacular!

See Australia

Posted by a Traveller from Redland Bay, Australia

We drove the roads of Cape York in the start of the dry season, May, and still had the fun creek crossings in 4WD but all the places we wanted to see where accessible due to the water levels going down. I think you need to be a confident 4WDriver to do the Telegraph Track and its recommended to travel with another car, just in case you get stuck.

Allow heaps of time to stop and check out the scenery and to stay a few nights at those special places. Remember there is alcohol limits in Aboriginal communities up north so check them out before taking your whole holiday supplies with you at once. Keep on the watch for crocodiles and camp safely. The best place to catch a glimpse of them is in the isolated national parks with the river/creeks flowing through them.
