Oakey Civilian Airport

Located just 30 km from Toowoomba is Oakey Civilan Airport. Originally a major airbase during the war, it now maintains a regular service from MacAir and various charters. Although the airfield is military maintained, a small civil terminal has been constructed but is infrequently manned. The terminal leads on to the Army Flying Museum and shares the access road to this facility.

Regular MacAir flights depart and return on Wednesdays and Sundays from Brisbane - Oakey and Oakey - St George.

• Due to airport restrictions, MacAir Airlines is unable to service Toowoomba airport, however lands at Oakey and provides taxi transfers for passengers between the two cities. Passengers looking to join MacAir's service in Oakey are requested to meet at the Civilian Terminal at Oakey Army Base. Passengers in Toowoomba looking to join the service are requested to meet at the Garden City Yellow Cabs depot at 14 Archibald Street
