Deception Bay and Beachmere 

Beachmere lies on the shores of Deception bay, near the estuary of the Caboolture River and offers a pleasant beach and good fishing.

Beachmere has for many years been an idealic holiday and fishing destination. Deception Bay was so named by Lt John Oxley in 1823 who thought the bay was a river and because of his mistake and the shallowness, named it Deception Bay.
