Beachmere lies on the shores of Deception bay, near the estuary of the Caboolture River and offers a pleasant beach and good fishing.

Beachmere has for many years been an idealic holiday and fishing destination. The perfect location for the boating enthusiasts having access to both river and a sheltered bay for a spot of fishing or canoeing or just enjoying the pleasant sensation of the water. The area has a friendly population of 2650.

Visitors will be impressed by the Beachmere Orchid show each October and the many natural assets Beachmere has to offer.

For the best of boating... the river and the sea. Beachmere offers calm waters in the bay and more adventurous fun in the sea. Holiday makers frequent the river noted for its fine fishing, sailing and boating.

Deception Bay was so named by Lt John Oxley in 1823 who thought the bay was a river and because of his mistake and the shallowness, named it Deception Bay.
