Sarina is located 37 km south of Mackay and is the largest town centre on the Bruce Highway between the cities of Mackay and Rockhampton. Sarina is a focal point for the coal, sugar, mariculture and grazing industries.

There are plenty of accommodation options within the region, as well as take-away food and supplies. Sarina Beach is just a few minutes from the town centre and includes a Surf Life Saving Club, boat ramp, beachfront store, a picnic area and lookout with amazing views. Accommodation and licensed restaurant facilities are available.
