Chevron Island across the river from central Surfers, is a residential island, but offers cafes and pastry shops and links Surfers Paradise to the more industrial Bundall area. MacIntosh Island to the north is pleasant with walking tracks and barbecues on the banks of the Nerang River. There is sheltered swimming at MacIntosh Island and Budds Beach. Surfers Paradise Main Beach is a patrolled beach making this stretch of coastline perfect for families also.

Coincide your Surfers Paradise visit with the thrills and racing spills of the annual Honda Indy in October or chance upon one of the many street parades or performances in the centre of Surfers. There is always something happening all year round.
