Tokonoma Fine Art Gallery specializes in minimalist ink art from Japan but also has regularly changing exhibitions by Australian and Japanese artists working in a variety of media. The Green Tea House offers unusual green tea beverages and desserts marrying Australian and Japanese flavours, a gorgeous High Tea (by reservation) and some regular lunch items such as Japanese curry and avocado open sandwich. The gallery is located just outside historic Mudgeeraba Village in tranquil bushland on the way to one of the Gold Coast's premier tourist attractions, Springbrook, with its beautiful Purling Brook Falls. Tokonoma also offers a economy/luxury picnic hampers for a day out visiting the waterfalls at Springbrook or Natural Bridge. Reservations by noon the previous day.
