Kinkuna National Park preserves a wilderness area of coastal vegetation and wide unspoilt beaches, just 30 kilometres south of Bundaberg. The park is part of the Burrum Coast National Park, which also incorporates Woodgate and Burrum River National Park.
Wilderness camping is permitted in two designated areas atop the dunes and shaded by she-oak casuarinas. Campers must be fully self-sufficient as there are no facilities at all in the park.
Further Information
Kinkuna National Park is renown for its springtime wildflower displays. August to October is the peak time to view these wildflowers here, in Woodgate National Park and also just to the north at the Coonarr Wildflower Reserve.
