A western suburb of Brisbane with a vibrant atmosphere generated primarily by the Queensland University, which lies in its boundaries.

This suburb has a thriving commercial and shopping precinct as well as a lively night life zone, including many good restaurants. St Lucia is a beautiful leafy and friendly suburb with some lovely river views and parks. The older generations mix with the younger university students. This fusion can be seen at the local cafes.

Features

  • St Lucia Golf Links: Located on the corner of Indooroopilly Road and Carawa Street, on the northern banks for the Brisbane River, the 18 hole St Lucia Golf Links are open 7 days a week. It is a very interesting course designed by Dr Alistair MacKenzie, architect of the famous Augusta Golf Course in Georgia
  • Mt Coot-tha Lookout offers a breathtaking panorama of Brisbane City and beyond
  • Toowong Cemetery Ghost Tours: Toowong Cemetery was established in 1875. Be warned - this is a very eerie journey. Much of the cemetery is overgrown with ferns and vines. Ancient hoop pines rise up towards the sky from dark groves. Hear local ghost stories and tales
