Boondall Wetlands Reserve is one of the highlights of the Moreton Bay area. Situated close to the heart of Brisbane, this beautiful eco system provides a much needed habitat for native wildlife.
The Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre is a great place to start your day. Opened in 1996, the centre offers useful information on the importance of wetlands to the community, and the roles of mangroves, reeds, and mud flats.
Boondall Wetlands lies on the edge of Moreton Bay; between Nudgee Beach, Boondall and Shorncliffe; and includes more than 1000 hectares of tidal flats, mangroves, salt marsh, melaleuca wetlands, grasslands, and open forests.
The wetlands also features a bird hide and the Nurri Millen indigenous art totems, 18 cast aluminium totems symbolising aspect of indigenous culture in Boondall Wetlands. Interpretive signs are provided.

Picnic facilities, toilets, parking and wheelchair access provided. No BBQs.

Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre - open Monday to Sunday, from 8.30am to 4pm. Closed public holidays and for activities.
