Ascot is located 6km north east of the Brisbane CBD. Ascot’s famous Racecourse Road stretches between the CityCat terminus at Bretts Wharf on Hamilton to Eagle Farm Racecourse. It is one of Brisbane’s favourite restaurant precincts, lying between the airport and the city, and is a focus of one of the grandest suburbs of Brisbane, noted for its elegant Queenslander homes.
The tree-lined street is sprinkled with clusters of cafes and restaurants including some of the city’s finest dining spots. Eagle Farm Racecourse is the centre of the annual Winter Racing Carnival.
