I fulfilled a lifelong dream the day we went out with the GURU. I have always wanted to catch a Bara and the Guru got us the goods. I had a great day out! Great fishing, great service to and from our accommodation, fantastic scenery, great yarns and jokes, and now I am the envy of all my mates with my boof head and fish on his web site! Classic! I certainly learnt a lot along the way too, with the Guru telling us about all the wildlife and surrounds during the day.Definitely will be going back to see the Guru again!!

I've been out with Mike many times, they call me his deckhand because when I go out everyone has a magnificent time as they all catch fish and I seem to just help other people out with photo's and stuff. But seriously I work as a deckhand in South Aust and I always have a ball every time I go out with the Guru. I'll be back up the end of February or the beginning of March and can’t wait to get into the best fishing in Australia.

When arranging a fishing trip for my sister and elderly father during their visit to the NT, I happened upon the Guru and was immediately extremely impressed.... the service was professional, friendly, helpful, prompt ...five stars all the way.
And when my sister and father arrived back from their holiday they were grinning from ear to ear as they recounted (several times) their day out fishing - they had a fabulous time and can't wait to get back! And there was no 'the one that got away' ... it was caught and photographed and looks impressive!
This man offers a brilliant service, took great care of my father (who is not very nimble) and ensured everyone had a fabulous fishing experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

8th and 9th Nov 2006 - I spent 2 days out with Mick (The Guru) Walsh, trolling for the Giant Trevally. Day 1 - 10 fantastic fish: 8 GT's, 1 Spanish Mackeral and a Queenfish (good eating). Day 2, with 4 on board, I caught 8 - including a 17lb GT and 16.5 lb Golden Trevally. I also caught a good eating coral trout and one of our party got a 1 metre Queenie!
The best part was the trolling - lures really test you out!
