Moulamein is a town of importance in the region and an historic town of significance. Moulamein known to be the "oldest town in the Riverina" boasts points of interest that date back to earlier pioneer days. The town has its own lake, which provides an excellent venue for water sports, and the reaches of the Edward River have attracted fishermen over many years. The Moulamein Bowling Club nestled in bushland on a bend of the Edward River is the social, sporting and entertainment centre of Moulamein and the surrounding districts.
