The villages of Wisemans Ferry and St Albans were part of the original route to Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. The area was first explored in 1789 and is rich in early pioneer history. It's a haven of historic buildings and spectacular bush and river scenery.
St Albans, a National Trust village, is a picturesque valley with a strong historic past. This thriving community offers accommodation, fine food, historic sandstone hotels and a gallery.
