No hills -- shopping, entertainment, state forests ...

Posted by Lost in Translations from Sydney, Australia

South west of the Hawkesbury Gateway and north west of Sydney lies the Hills, including Castle Hill and Baulkham Hills which offer all the modern shopping and entertainment facilities.

The Hills district hosts Sydney’s Cumberland State Forest with interpretive walking trails and extensive picnic grounds. This area is also blessed with the Marramarra National Park which offers exstensive walking tracks, picnic areas and breath taking views of the surrounding waterways.

Local attractions include galleries, antique and craft cottages, numerous parks, ovals, scenic walks, heritage sites, animal sanctuaries and the Hawkesbury River which provides an array of water sports and recreational pursuits.

If its entertainment you’re looking for in the Hills District, then you won’t be cut short. With many clubs and pubs throughout the area, the biggest and most popular being The Castle Hill Tavern with live entertainment and pool competitions every week. Or visit Hills Entertainment Centre for all of the latest in plays and shows.
