The Sydney Metro Monorail system is one of the worlds few above ground rail systems that run through major cities. The Monorail operates seven days a week, all year round. Its system links the City to Darling Harbour, running every three to five minutes. The Monorail is an important experience within itself, exposing passengers to a magnificent view of Sydney from a different perspective, the Harbour ahead and the bustling streets below.

  • The Monorail was first opened in 1988 as a gift to Sydney for the celebration of Australia’s Bicentennial. It is now a very popular mode of transport, moving over four million people every year. The Monorail is providing easy access to most of Sydney’s tourist destinations.
