Built in 1881, the Lord Wolseley Hotel is regarded as the smallest hotel in New South Wales. In 1996 the hotel was renovated to provide extra accommodation The hotel offers casual accommodation with a relaxed do-it-yourself breakfast with rooftop views of Ultimo and Pyrmont.
The area is steeped in the history of early settlement. The Harris family were the dominant landowners in the area for over 100 years and a nearby street bears their name.
