The RAN Heritage Centre is located within the Public Access Area on the northern end of Garden Island.
The Public Access Area is itself of heritage significance and includes historic gardens, heritage locations and has panoramic views of Sydney Harbour.
Visitors can access the RAN Heritage Centre by Sydney Ferry using the Circular Quay to Watson's Bay route. The Ferry will stop at the Garden Island Ferry Wharf only during RAN Heritage Centre opening hours.

All visitors using the ferry service MUST depart the RAN Heritage Centre by the last scheduled ferry of the day.
