Nowra is situated on the beautiful Shoalhaven River, and is a major town on the New South Wales south coast. Being close to many natural and cultural features of Shoalhaven and the Southern Highlands districts, Nowra is a popular location. The Shoalhaven River divides Nowra from Bomaderry and North Nowra, and is bridged by the historic Nowra Bridge. The bustling commercial centre belies the pleasant laid back lifestyle enjoyed by locals. Visitors always receive a very warm welcome to Nowra.

  • Nowra Animal Park: Animal lovers will enjoy exploring the Nowra Animal Park. The park is set on 16 acres on the banks of the Shoalhaven River. Nowra Animal Park has a great variety of animals; there are koalas, crocodiles and even a pair of hairy-nosed wombat
  • Meeroga: Meroogal is a delightful timber house built in 1885 located in the heart of Nowra. Meroogal is now the property of the Historic Houses Trust of N.S.W. Take a trip back in time to the early days of settlement in the Shoalhaven and explore historic Meroogal
  • Bundanon: Bundanon is a spectacularly beautiful property on the banks of the Shoalhaven River and was the inspiration for many of the late Arthur Boyd's most famous paintings
