Mimosa Rocks National Park features natural volcanic sculptures, rugged coastal headlands, cliffs, rock stacks and a number of Aboriginal sites. Consisting of 5,335 hectares, the jagged coastline is enjoyed by surfers, fishermen, snorkelers, birdwatchers, bushwalkers and explorers. A number of endangered fauna species are found within the park. These include the sooty owl and golden tipped bat. The brown pigeon is found at the southern limit of its distribution.
If you look out to sea during spring you might spot a migrating whale returning to its Antarctic feeding grounds.
Mimosa Rocks National Park's climate makes it an excellent choice to visit all year round. Summer is the most popular time, but winter can provide many sunny days with fewer visitors.
