Moruya 

Sitting right on the banks of the Moruya River, Moruya is a quaint country town in the traditional style with a relaxed lifestyle far removed from the pace of city life. You will see many historic buildings as you move through the main streets of the town, which give Moruya its special character.

Although its the smallest of the three major towns on the Eurobodalla Coast, Moruya is the administrative centre of the shire. The historical selection of Moruya for these institutions is partly for the fact that Moruya lies near the geographical centre of the Eurobodalla Shire, which runs from Batemans Bay in the north to Tilba in the south and also because Moruya is one of the older towns in the region.

• Activities on the Moruya River: Canoeing, boating and waterskiing can all be pursued on the Moruya River while its mangroves, oyster leases, channels and mudbanks make it a fine spot for fishing. Near the rock wall at the river mouth tailor and salmon can be found and whiting at Aerodrome Beach. There are boat-launching ramps both in town and at the river's mouth
