An historic marker near where bushranger "Mad" Dan Morgan shot Sgt Maginnity in 1884. A monument marks the spot and is located in Maginnity's Gap Road.
Sgt David Maginnity was one of the first police officers killed in the line of duty in NSW, and "Mad" Dan Morgan was a famous bushranger who has contributed to the Australian story of colonial settlement times.
The site features a plaque, interpretive signage, and a picnic area.
