Every year Djanbung Gardens welcome people from around the world to the alternative garden of the world - Nimbin. Many come to visit the Resource Centre or do a tour of the gardens, eco-buildings and working permaculture systems at Djanbung and Jarlanbah. Others participate in training, internships and volunteer programmes.

The extensive garden systems demonstrate a range of organic gardening techniques including companion planting, no-dig gardens, natural pest management, composting and edible landscapes introducing you to an amazing diversity of herbs, vegetables, edible flowers and bushfoods.a constant supply of food for residents and friends, catering for courses plus asurplus for value-adding and trading at local markets.

Opening Times

  • Djanbung Garden Resource Centre are open: Tue-Sat 10am-3.30pm
  • Guided Tours are conducted Tue & Thur 10.30am: 60 min garden tour $10. Saturdays 11am: 90 min in-depth farm tour $15. Other times by special arrangement. Group visits by appointment
