Yamba is a beautiful seaside village situated roughly 1hr north of Coffs Harbour and 1.5hrs south of Byron Bay, in the Northern Rivers Region.

Recently voted Australia's #1 town by Australian Traveller magazine, Yamba is blessed with an ideal climate, quasi-bohemian lifestyle and great beaches.

Yamba has always been known as a top fishing and prawning spot. No matter if you relish the challenge of beach fishing or would rather enjoy a leisurely float on a dinghy; you can hire one or launch from one of the many boat ramps around Yamba; there’s something to satisfy all fishermen.

At Yamba Marina you can take a river cruise, ride in a jet boat or simply relax in the Marina Cafe - sip a latte and enjoy the fresh, famous Yamba prawns and local seafood.

Yamba has a fascinating coastline of white sandy beaches nestled in coves between rocky headlands. Turners Beach, Yamba situated near the mouth of the Clarence River is a small beach, a popular family swimming spot and often has good surfing waves.

Main Beach Yamba with its ocean rock pool is an excellent swimming set-up for any family. Just a little further south is Convent Beach, a white sandy beach nestled in a rocky cove and then there is the long expansive Pipis Beach which is popular with fishermen and surfers alike.

Nestled between the Yuraygir and Bundjalung National Parks; views from Yamba Lighthouse over the Yamba Township, Clarence River and the 2 nearby coastal parks are absolutely incredible.

Yamba is relaxed, unpretentious, and has a strong sense of community. Local accommodation includes numerous motels, apartments, holiday cottages and caravan parks.
