Yamba 

Yamba is a stunning place, it has trendy cafes and restaurants, a youth hostel to stay at for budget accomodation and a really cool caravan and camping ground, but i hear it is shutting down soon, which is a real shame! There is another caravan and campsite not far away tho, just doesn't seem quite as convenient! The beaches are beautiful, and there are calm places to swim as well as great surfing beaches. There is heaps to do, you can hire bikes, a boat or go on walks. The nearby town called Maclean is quite cool too, it has scottish ancestry and has some beautiful old buildings. Even though Yamba is trendy it still has a sort of village type atmosphere, and has markets on a sunday. There was a festival on when i was there called surfing the coldstream which was really good fun, don't know how often it's on tho. This place is just like the Australia i have always thought of, friendly, relaxed, and beautiful.

Yamba is a great holiday retreat for anyone wanting to get away from the busy life. This small coastal town is exactly what I needed on my recent holiday. The town is a small and friendly hub with a few great cafes and restaurants. The locals are all extremely friendly and are always keen to lend a hand or just have a chat. Yamba is a relaxing place and I’ll definitely be back soon!
