Iluka has long been famous for fishing, and the serious angler never visits without a frypan in amongst the fishing gear. With 12km of beach to share, it is pretty easy to find yourself a secluded spot to throw your hook in on your drive down to Iluka. This is a popular fishing beach and there are usually a few other fisherfolk dotted along its' length. People also come to this beautiful coastal town to absorb the sights and experiences provided by one of Australia's most accessible and rarest rainforest remnants. The World Heritage listed Iluka Nature Reserve contains the largest remnant of littoral rainforest in NSW.
