The village of Coutts Crossing is located on the banks of the Orara River, 669 km northeast of Sydney and 15km south of Grafton on the Armidale Road. The town boasts a friendly village atmosphere with only 50 houses, a general store, church, 9-hole golf course, sporting complex and a tavern.
The town is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with some wonderful scenic drives through Boundary Creek, to the west of Nymboida, and Kangaroo Creek. Take a drive out to McPherson’s Crossing, only 3km out of town, popular for boating and swimming. The Coutts Crossing Heritage Cottage gives the visitor an insight into the area's colourful history.
