Located on Australia’s most easterly point, Byron Bay boasts a temperate climate averaging 21-28°C in summer and 15-21°C in winter, beautiful beaches, surrounded by rolling green hills and spectacular national parks.

Byron Bay has come a long way from its past as a port for North Coast dairy farms and a whaling station. A massive migration of people to the area has occurred in the last 10 years drawn by Byron’s relaxed lifestyle transforming it into a thriving tourist town and a centre for arts, education, alternative health and healing practises, surfing, music and food. Byron offers accommodation, entertainment venues, restaurants and cafes and activities to suit every style and budget.

Byron Bay offers luxurious 5 star resorts, budget motels, beachside caravan parks and a myriad of backpacker hostels. There are four lively pubs, and several trendy nightclubs. For the adventurous, try hang-gliding, rock climbing, mountain biking, learn to surf, sea kayaking…..

  • Join the crowds in the surf at the Pass, Watego's, Tallows or Broken Head.
