In a contemporary world where fashions and designs are duplicated for th emasses, Libby Pool remains steadfast in her belief that everyone is unique, special and so should their personal adornment be.

No two pieces are 100% the same. The Paua shell Libby creates into jewellery for you has been gathered from the icy cold waters of New Zealand's South Island. The vibrant iridescence of the blue, aqua and lime are created by light which has been refracted within the crystal layers of the shell. For hundreds of years many believe Paua radiates healing qualities for body and soul, and therefore it has been used to treat calcium deficiencies and hearing disorders as well as promoting clarity, wisdom and prosperity.

Paua is nature's gift and exclusive to New Zealand. Libby makes it available to you through her creations, ensuring that each piece is individually cleaned and polished while respectin the unusual shape of each contour, and assembles it with sterling silver or Italian thread.

Libby has been desiging and creating jewellery for the past seven years.Special to the indigenous New Zealand Maoris, Libby Pool claims Maori heritage through her father, a descendant of the Ngati Kahungunu tribe from the east coast of New Zealand. She currently resides and works from her studio in Byron Bay, Australia.
