Don't take the kids

Posted by Byron Regular from Heathcote

No bikes, no skateboards, no ball games.
No noise after 10pm. An over-zealous and rude security guard and rude management.
If you're a family with kids that keep their mouths shut, sit quietly and you are happy to go to bed at the same time as them then this is your dream holiday destination.

Absolutely not a family park

Posted by Dale Audra from Box Hill South, Australia

We have been on the road now for 2.5 months and have stayed at 18 caravan parks all up the East Coast and throughout central Australia including roadhouses and First Sun has been our worst experience in a caravan park. It is absolutely not a family park. We spent a sleepless night there with frightened children due to very loud drunken partying all night. No judgement on partying people, however, we have kids to consider and we were unable to continue our stay in Byron. The facilities were not clean, communal facilities were too busy, camp sites were cramped and untidy. We sought a refund and were refused.

Perfect Byron Bay getaway

Posted by a Traveller from Palm Beach, Australia

We stayed at first sun camping for a long weekend! It was great, a lot better than the other camping grounds around Byron area! Its right near everything. You have hogs breath and all the main shops just up the street, and it’s right on the most beautiful beach! The camping lots are well sized, not small and cramped like other areas! We never would have known the camping ground was full… we had plenty of space! The facilities are great and open good hours also. We are thinking of coming back next month but to stay in one of those nice cabins on the beach this time!

Wonderful!

Posted by a Traveller from gold coast, Australia

I really enjoy staying at the first sun because there's so much to do, there is never a boring moment, but the thing I like the best is that its so close to the beach, I only have to walk a few steps and I can watch my kids surf, its great!

Best ocean view and great staff on site.

Posted by a Traveller from Brisbane, Australia

I've stayed at First Sun two years in a row and have had a wonderful time both years. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The camp sites are well alloted and the cabins are in a great position and comfortable for any amount of stay. First sun has to be my favorite camping and cabin ground that I have stayed at.
