Disappointed

Posted by cj from Brisbane

Lovely area and great position. Service was lacking - the staff were nonexistent and no toiletries top-up. Poor kitchen facilities and there were cockroaches. Cheap price.

Home away from Home

Posted by a Traveller from WHANGAREI, New Zealand

My husband and I are from NZ and we have stayed at Broadview twice now and were upgraded each time. Our visits are usually in the off peak time. The first upgrade was to an upstairs one bedroom apartment with balcony overlooking the park and river. Our second visit was just recently (End of Oct to Nov) we were once again upgraded to the downstairs two bedroom apartment with wide balcony overlooking the new garden area and office. The unique, old world charm and comfortable furnishings of both apartments sets Broadview apart from the standard Mediterranean and bamboo furniture 'look' that seems to be in most holiday apartments along the Sunshine and Gold Coasts. We felt at home at each of our stays because it is so peaceful, the staff friendly and always helpful when we needed their assistance.
Brunswick village is a piece of Australia that is still very 'ozzie.' It is not overrun by the Tourist Boom yet. However back here in NZ we sing the praises of such a great relaxing holiday place with its river and wonderful beach, and easy access too Byron Bay the Gold Coast and lovely hinterland towns of Lismore and Murwillumbah etc.
We have shown pictures of our accommodation to everyone back here in NZ and encourage our friends to visit in the future. For a place to unwind and relax there is no better place than the Broadview Apartments in Brunswick. We will be back.
