Cranford Croki invites you to this luxury federation waterfront home on the magnificent Manning River at Croki near Taree. Croki Jones Island is a sleepy rural historical village north of Taree surrounded by lush dairy farms and overlooking Oxley and Mitchell Islands and the big brother mountains to the North. This is one of the most spectacular of all North Coast retreats.
Just a short stroll up the road, the family can enjoy a swim in the river swimming pool, (very safe for young children). The kids can fish from the wharf whilst dad BBQ's under the shade of the magnificent old moreton bay figs. From the home verandah, there is spectacular views of the Manning River to Oxley Island and Mitchells Island. You can throw in the crab pot or just relax with a wine and dolphin watch in peace and quiet.
There are some lovely walks around the village and along the river; it is a totally quiet and peaceful location. The friendly locals provide a real country atmosphere. Taree and the Manning Valley have some wonderful art and craft galleries, cafes and country markets.
You must take a visit to Harrington and Crowdy Head fisherman's co-op for the freshest Sydney rock oysters and seafood. Perhaps after your sunset dinner you can go for a romantic walk along the sands whilst listening to the surf. Location
The turnoff to Croki is just 8 minutes (14kms) north of the township of Taree on the main freeway. Boating in this area is fantastic, you can navigate around the islands or head up to Charlies Island Beach reserve for some fishing and swimming in crystal clear waters where the ocean and the rivers meet.
River tours can arrange to collect you from the local wharf at the end of the road.
