In the tangle of beaches, bays, coves and sand dunes that make up the Anna Bay area is the delightful Birubi Beach and its sister Little Birubi Beach. Protected from the elements by Tomaree Headland, the beach is one of the gateways to the Stockton Sand Dunes, the largest moving coastal sand mass in the southern hemisphere. A short stroll away is Little Birubi Beach, this calm water cove makes a great location for little children and boat launching.
Birubi Beach is patrolled during school holidays and on weekends, and boasts a local Surf Life Saving Club. Some of the best beach and rock fishing in the region takes place at Birubi Point.
For those interested in long beach strolls the Birubi Beach runs uninterupted all the way to Newcastle.
