Limeburners Creek Nature Reserve is a haven sparkling coastline, covered in heath lands and forests of Banksia and Blackbutt. Rare rainforest's grow on Big Hill, and the well-camouflaged ground parrot, a threatened species, lives in this part of the park. The rainforest's of "Big Hill" is home to the well-camouflaged ground parrot. The natural sand ridges & nearby Saltwater Lake, sustain a unique mixture of flora and fauna.

• The beach is popular for swimming, surfing, and fishing or just relaxing. Car-based and caravan camping is available at Point Plomer which has good facilities. The Melaleuca rest area is another camping area with basic facilities. Camping fees apply. Campers must bring your own drinking water and firewood can be purchased on site.
• Amenities are wheelchair accessible.
• There are many things to do and see at the park including camping, Picnicking, Bushwalking, cycling, boating, fishing and swimming. Facilities at the park include camping grounds, caravan access, public toilets, picnic facilities, BBQs, walking tracks, a boat ramp and showers.

Directions- 15 km south of Crescent Head off the Plomer Road, access is via Crescent head or by 4WD only from Port Macquarie.
