This 2742 ha reserve, which is in six separate sections, contains stands of spotted gum, ironbark and bloodwood that protect koalas, wallabies and kangaroos.
Mangrove areas along Deep Creek, Limeburners Creek and the Karuah River provide excellent fishing opportunities. Access to the river’s edge is by 4WD, in dry weather only. Car-based camping areas with no facilities are provided at Double Wharf, Little Mountain and Tattersals.
Things to do & see include fishing, car-based camping, walking, cycling and 2WD car touring. The park is located 22 km north of Raymond Terrace via Bucketts Way (off the Pacific Highway) and Hobarts Road (unsealed).
