This is a beautiful looking motel - inside & out. Unfortunately on closer inspection it needs a really good clean!
The room was very dusty, the top of the TV, the light fittings, the window sill in the bathroom. The sort of things that you wouldn't notice on first glance.
When I went to make a cup of tea, I found that there was water in the kettle. Who knows how long it was there or whether it was just water - kettles should be emptied when guests depart so that the next guest knows what is in the kettle. When I went to iron a shirt for the meeting I was attending, I found that the iron board was broken, and had been for some time.....the break was rusty! The cleaning staff also didn't bother to wash the dirty cup & glass I had used.
All the motel literature advertises wireless internet. However, when I enquired I was told it might not work in the room I had, because of the garden (it turned out that it did work), but if you want to use wireless internet, ask them to put you in a room with good reception when you book.
There is plenty of space to park and manoeuvre even the biggest vehicles. There is a lovely garden in the middle of the motel and a fantastic looking pool. Unfortunately we were there in the middle of some very wild weather and couldn't take advantage of either the garden or pool.
This motel has a mini bar in each room - a rarity now days! The prices aren't too bad (I have seen worse). However, not a great idea if you are travelling with children - we all know that what children see they want. Nuts are in the mini bar, and again this is a hazard for children. Perhaps they could take the mini bar out of the family rooms!
Cooked breakfast was good and again, not overly expensive. They also have dinner room service and a restaurant. However, we chose to eat at the Bowling Club next door, which has a nightly all you can eat buffet.
The only thing really wrong with this motel is the room cleaning staff - if they paid more attention to detail, this motel would rate "Truly spectacular!"
