Red Rock is located on the southern bank of the Red Rock River and is a ideal family holiday spot. It has public parkland and a patrolled beach during summer months, and both the river and the ocean offer great fishing and safe swimming. The Red Rock River marks the southern boundary of the Yuraygir National Park and is popular for canoe and small craft access to wilderness areas.

Red Rock is about 13km north of Woolgoolga, with Grafton about 85km to the north-west. Red Rock is in a pristine setting for fishing enthusiasts and beach lovers, and the perfect starting point for exploration of the wild and wonderful park.
