One of the most well known and popular lookouts in the Wollongong area, Bald Hill looks out over the pristine beauty of one of the most beautiful coastlines on the east coast.
It is used as a major hang gliding center and is internationally recognized. Here you can watch the gliders wing their way down over the coastline to the beach below, or perhaps you would like to partake and see it, birds eye view, for yourself.
Located on Bald Hill in the Lawrence Hargrave Memorial. This monument stands to recognize the pioneering work of Hargrave in the field of aeronautics. He carried out a lot of his work from this very location, which helped the future development of the aeroplane.
