The Council Lifeguard Services are provided Monday to Saturday during swimming season and volunteer members of Newcastle Surf Lifesaving Club provides beach patrols on Sundays during the swimming season.
A stroll between Newcastle Beach and Nobbys Beach will take approx 15 minutes along the scenic Bather’s Way. And it's adjacent to the historic Time Tunnel Mural which provides traffic-free access to the top end of Hunter Street.
There is easy access from Newcastle CBD, train and bus facilities. Plus has a kiosk and shaded table area, (kiosk open during swimming season) and change room facilities available.
