Blacksmiths Beach is located just off the Pacific Highway at the southern end of Nine Mile Beach, a 16 km beach that stretches from Blacksmiths north to Redhead. It is a popular beach for the whole family. There is a council run caravan park located just 2 mins from the waters edge.
Blacksmiths Beach has a surf life saving club which has a kiosk, amenities block, BBQ area and childrens activity area. Host to the NSW State Surf Life Saving Championships in 2002 and 2003. Home to the championship winning Swansea Surf Life Saving Club. The beach is fully patrolled.
