Woodberry is just north of Beresfield near Maitland in the Hunter River Country. This area is a residential suburb with some shopping and services. Close to the Hunter River, there are opportunities for water activities.
Woodberry is predominantly surrounded by farmland and pastures giving it a great country feel. Although, Maitland is close, only 15 minutes up the highway and Raymond Terrace is not far, just across the river heading towards the coast.
