Moonan Flat is located along Gundy Road heading east of Scone and the township of Gundy. As one of the smallest villages in the Upper Hunter, Moonan Flat is a picturesque place along the banks of the river that eventually feeds into the popular Lake Glenbawn.
Popular past times include cooling off in the river, having a bit to eat at the local eateries and visiting the surrounding wineries and vineyards.
