Overview

Branxton is a small pastoral community located 18 km north-west of Maitland. It is small but never the less a great place to visit when travelling on the New England Highway between Maitland and Singleton.

History is rich in Branxton with the main street occupied by antique stores and historical buildings dating back to the 1800’s. Alike to the surrounding towns of the Hunter Valley, Branxton is rich in European heritage and is a fantastic place to learn of the past.

There are several cafes and eateries to sample on your way through.

Features

  • Wine and dine in the cafes
  • See the heritage landmarks and historic sites
  • Sample some of the local produce at farm stalls and cellar doors around the vineyards
  • Take a day trip to the beautiful and quiet Rothbury area to the south
  • Go on a visit to either Singleton or Maitland.
