Telarah is a suburb located just west of the City of Maitland. It is on the New England Highway and the North Coast railway line. The historic railway station (opened in 1911), is served by CityRail's Hunter line services.
Telarah is a residential suburb, not far from the CBD, with clusters of early colonial homes but mostly mid-fifties to modern housing.
