Situated within the beautiful Hunter Valley Wine Region, the Hunter Valley Zoo provides a peaceful haven with both Australian and exotic animals. Discover the unique wildlife of Australia, feel the kangaroos or relax in the picnic grounds.
The Hunter Valley Zoo has many kangaroo and wallaby species to see, as well as koalas, dingoes, wombats, reptiles, monkeys, birds and deer. The friendly keepers are on-hand to answer your questions, and show you some of the animals up close with hands-on encounters!
Feed the animals ... you can feed the kangaroos, wallabies, deer and birds when you like. Feed you family... cook up a storm on the barbeques or get some refreshments at the ZOO Kiosk...
