The Lachlan River passes through the country town of Condobolin located in NSW's central west, 99kms west of Parkes and 463kms west of Sydney.

There are plenty of popular fishing spots and the caravan parks sits on the banks of the river. Gumbend Lake is a popular picnicking and skiing destination for locals and visitors. Browse through local history and local and indigenous at and craft at the Community Centre, or the more energetic can climb Mt Tilga for breathtaking views of surrounding countryside and farmland.

The area is prime wheat sheep and cattle producing country and Condobolin silos have been on of the largest grain receival points in NSW.
