Originally a red cedar, timber getting site in the 1900s, the area between West Wyong and Yarramalong is now characterised by studs and turf farms. The Yarramalong & Dooralong Valleys are a beautiful escape from the coast. There are several good quality accommodation places and interesting attractions.

Discovering the bush haven of the hinterland is a truly rewarding experience, horseriding, four wheel driving, bushwalking are available or visit Bumble Hill Studio the ultimate arts and crafts studio at Kulnura. Or head to the The Macadamia Nut Plantation at 1253 Yarramalong Rd, 6.4 km from the Wyong School.

Separating the two Valleys is the Jiliby State Conservation Area that has many walks and scenic views.
