Harden is notable for its scenic beauty particularly during spring. Combined with the green pastures and rolling hills, flowering crops provide a magnificent kaleidoscope of colour. It is located on the Murrimboola Creek, 342 km west of Sydney and 62 km north-west of Yass via Burley Griffin Way.

The district has one of the most reliable rainfall areas in the State, which allows such a diverse range of agricultural and pastoral activities to prosper. The district boasts many fruit orchard producing some great fresh produce.

  • The Agricultural Show is held in September, an art-and-craft show in October, the Picnic Races in November and 'The Best of the Bush' Festival in March.
