This historical site is situated at the top end of Whiteman Avenue on the eastern side of town.
Significant to the early history circa 1860's to the town of Young, Blackguard Gully now consists of three hectares of old gold mining remains and is the only dedicated prospecting area in the Young Shire.
Contains old Chinese pug mill, take the signposted walk around the site and get an idea of how the miners lived and worked there over 135 years ago.
