Very disappointed in our stay here. Minimal supplies were provided, service was distant, the breakfast area was small with a "serve yourself" approach, and we were amazed to find that guests were welcome to bring their own dogs - and have them stay in the rooms. Not what we expected for the price charged, and compares poorly to another B&B we stayed at in Canberra.

We do advertise that the tariff includes continental breakfast provisions. There is an upgrade option for a served cooked breakfast which perhaps would have suited you better. We also offer generous amounts of complementary port in front of our raging fire, which seems rather popular... along with cookies and treats for our guests.
We do offer pet-friendly accommodation – an aspect of our service that many travellers really appreciate as it can be hard to find quality accommodation when travelling with pets. We have strict rules for pets and clean the rooms especially well after they depart.
Once again, we are very surprised to hear that you were not entirely happy with your stay. We take pride in what we do and go out of our way to make sure our clients are happy. We hope you’ll consider staying with us again and giving our establishment a chance to deliver the quality service we are renowned for on your next trip to Canberra...

Truly the top of the tree for 'a home from home' experience with the most genial friendly hosts - including the dogs who form the welcoming committee - that a first time traveller to Australia could hope to meet.
Luxurious furnishings combined with the scenery and peaceful non-intrusive attitudes of the hosts made my trip to Australia the most relaxed trip I have ever taken and hopefully I will be able to return to the Homestead in the future. It is certainly well worth a visit whether it be for a relaxation weekend or longer stay and fully deserves it's fine reputation.
