Part of the World Heritage Listed Greater Blue Mountains Region, Heritage-rich Lithgow provides a wealth of things to see and do. On the far reaches of the Blue Mountains, Lithgow provides the gateway to the wonders of New South Wales Explorer Country.

Lithgow's Zig Zag Railway is a spectacle in itself as the first ever railway link to western New South Wales, aside from the spectacular views its winding expedition takes in. Travel a little further to Capertee Valley, Australia's biggest enclosed valley to be entranced by a perfect piece of Australian landscape.

There are excellent opportunities for both canyoning and bushwalking.
